March Madness

Well it's that time of the year again. I've been sick all week and slammed at work and somehow neglected to fill out a bracket. It's a little weird watching the tournament and not checking my bracket. But I still love March Madness. What other time of the year do terms like Blazers, Demon Deacons, and Saluki's mean anything? I would say it THE BEST U.S. sporting event. What other sporting events get people all over the country so excited? The superbowl's great and all. But it's one game. This is a several week long activity featuring 64 teams! I love the fact that people go crazy cheering for schools they never went to, in cities they haven't even visited. I don't have the stats but I'm sure more illegal gambling is done on the NCAA tournament than on any other event. I mean every school I've went to and every office I've worked in has had a pool. So who am I routing for? The Wildcats of course! I just got down watching them dismantle UAB. It's nice to see them not underachieving for a change. I like how when ever they have a high seed the blow it (well I don't really like it), but whenever they are overlooked they come out and kick ass. I mean they finished in 5th place in the Pac 10 the year they won it all (Oh that was a good party). So here's hoping for a solid finish, I have to go check all the other scores now.
